ENU Presented the Book “30 Minds of ENU” and Honored Leading Scientists

A series of significant events dedicated to the development of science, support for young researchers, and recognition of the achievements of university scholars took place at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.

“Kültegin” atrium of the university’s main building hosted the ceremonial presentation of the first volume of the book “30 Minds of ENU” (book launch), dedicated to the scientific achievements of 30 leading scholars of the university.

The event brought together professor-researchers, scientists, young researchers, representatives of the academic community, and university partners.

Welcoming remarks were delivered by Abzal Taltenov, Member of the Management Board - Acting Vice-Rector for Science and Commercialisation, who emphasized the important role of professor-researchers and researchers in the development of ENU science, strengthening the university’s international reputation, and promoting Kazakhstani science in global rankings.

As part of the program, the official presentation of the book “30 Minds of ENU” took place, along with a speech by Nurzada Amangeldi, researcher at the Research Institute of Artificial Intelligence, on the topic: “Science is not only about solving complex problems, but also about improving people’s lives and influencing social change.”

Special attention was given to the achievements of scholars publishing in high-ranking international journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, implementing major scientific and international projects, and contributing to innovation and commercialization of research results.

The scientific day continued with a ceremonial diploma awarding ceremony for doctoral graduates. Chairman of the Board – Rector of ENU, Yerlan Sydykov, personally presented PhD diplomas to young scholars, congratulating them on the successful defense of their dissertations and emphasizing the importance of their research for society and national development.

This year, graduates from various scientific fields received the PhD degree. Young researchers expressed gratitude to the university leadership, professors, and scientific supervisors for their support and professional guidance throughout their academic journey.

The events concluded with an award ceremony honoring scholars for their significant contribution to the development of the university and national science.
