At the initiative of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, the British Council and L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University signed a memorandum of cooperation.

On May 18, 2026, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between British Council and L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University under the initiative of the Department of Foreign Languages. The memorandum aims to strengthen international academic cooperation, develop joint projects, and promote teacher exchange programs in the future.
The memorandum was officially signed by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs A.B. Beisenbay and Country Director Robert Taylor. The event was also attended by Head of Exams Central Asia Anna Tsoy and Exams Operations Manager Gulim Kabidolda. The guests were invited to participate in the celebration dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the university.
The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Philology, S.M. Duisengazy, the Head of the Department of Foreign Languages, P.Zh. Balkhimbekova, as well as senior lecturers B.G. Smagulova and A.K. Sadykova
At the end of the meeting, the guests visited the Museum of Writing History, where they listened to valuable information about Kül Tigin Inscriptions and the significance of Turkic written heritage.
