
ENU and British Council Kazakhstan Strengthen International Educational Cooperation

A memorandum of cooperation was signed between British Council and L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University under the initiative of the Department of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Philology.
The memorandum represents an important step toward strengthening international academic cooperation, expanding the exchange of experience in education, enhancing students’ professional and language competencies, and promoting the university’s integration into the global educational space.
In the future, the parties plan to continue cooperation through the organization of joint summer and winter schools, the development of academic exchange programs between universities of Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom, the implementation of innovative teaching methodologies and technologies in language education, as well as the organization of IELTS training sessions and joint courses.
The memorandum was signed by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Ardak Beisenbay and Country Director of British Council Kazakhstan Robert Taylor. The event was also attended by Head of Exams Central Asia Anna Tsoy and Exams Operations Manager Gulim Kabidolda. The guests were invited to participate in the events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the university.
The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Philology, S. Duisengazy, the Head of the Department of Foreign Languages, P. Balkhimbekova, as well as senior lecturers B.Smagulova and A.Sadykova.
At the end of the meeting, the guests visited the Museum of Writing History, where they listened to valuable information about the Kül Tigin Inscriptions and the significance of Turkic written heritage.
