Students of the Department of Physical and Economic Geography Visited the “SG Brick” Plant

Students of the Department of Physical and Economic Geography at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University visited the full-cycle “SG Brick” brick manufacturing plant.
During the excursion, the students became familiar with all stages of brick production, from raw material extraction to the final product. They were introduced to the processes of clay treatment, purification, and preparation for further production.
The participants also observed how bricks are molded, dried, and fired in special kilns. Company specialists explained the importance of maintaining temperature control and production technology standards to ensure high-quality and durable products.
As part of the excursion, students learned about the natural resources used in production, the geographical location of the raw material base, and the factors influencing the placement of industrial facilities. This enabled them to connect theoretical knowledge in economic, industrial, and resource geography with real production processes.
At the end of the excursion, the students explored the finished products and storage conditions. The visit provided a deeper understanding of the full production cycle and the importance of modern technologies in the construction industry.
