
President of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan Shavkat Ayupov visited ENU

President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, renowned mathematician and scientist Shavkat Ayupov visited The L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The meeting was held as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of ENU and was dedicated to the development of scientific and academic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
During the visit, the guest got acquainted with the activities of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, the Institute of Physical and Technical Sciences and the Institute of Digital Sciences and Artificial Intelligence, and discussed the prospects for joint research with representatives of the university.
ENU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Ardak Beisenbai, noted that the partnership between the two countries continues to develop actively.
"Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are united by a common history, cultural proximity and long-term friendly relations. Such meetings open up new opportunities for the exchange of experience, the implementation of joint projects and the expansion of international scientific cooperation," ENU Vice Rector said.
In turn, Shavkat Ayupov spoke about modern directions of science development in Uzbekistan and stressed the relevance of international scientific cooperation.
"Today, science knows no boundaries. Modern research and innovative projects are developing thanks to international cooperation. The Eurasian National University has a high scientific potential, which has been formed over 30 years. We have proposals for conducting joint research, scientific seminars and conferences in the future," the Uzbek scientist said.
Following the meeting, the guest was awarded a jubilee medal dedicated to ENU’s 30th anniversary.
