The «ENU Darts League» Tournament Was Held at ENU

At L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, the professional open tournament «ENU Darts League» was held at a high level on the initiative of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics. The large-scale sporting event was organized within the framework of the «Meрейлі ай» program dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the university and became the final ceremonial event among the 30 jubilee activities.

The main goal of the tournament was to strengthen the unity of the university community, promote a healthy lifestyle, develop sports interaction between teachers and students, as well as promote darts as a professional sport.

The tournament brought together 11 teams representing the faculties, institutes, and higher schools of the university. A total of 33 participants competed in the event. During the tournament, the participants demonstrated a high level of accuracy, endurance, and sportsmanship.

The opening ceremony was attended by the university administration and faculty members. The tournament was officially opened by Board Member and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Ardak Beisenbay, who wished the participants success and good luck. In his speech, he emphasized that the development of sports clubs at the university is one of the important directions of youth policy. The Vice-Rector also highly appreciated the prospects of the newly established «ENU Darts Club» and expressed confidence that the club would implement large-scale projects in the future and make a significant contribution to enhancing the university’s image.

Members of the «ENU Darts Club» established this year, made a special contribution to organizing the tournament. They actively participated in coordinating organizational and technical processes, ensuring that the competition was conducted at a professional level. The growing interest in darts among students and faculty members demonstrates the club’s systematic and effective work.

The following individuals took an active part in organizing the event:

Adilbek Kaliev - Chairman of the «ENU Darts Club» Head of the Department of Mechanics;

Samat Bitimkhan - Chairman of the Sports Club of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, Associate Professor of the Department of Fundamental Mathematics;

Danagul Karataeva - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics.

Special recognition was given to the sponsors whose support ensured the tournament was held at a high organizational level. The organizers expressed gratitude to «Zerdeli Education» for sponsoring the tournament, as well as to the Embassy of Mongolia and Academician Ryskul Oynaruly for their assistance in acquiring new professional equipment for the «ENU Darts Club». Thanks to such support, new sports initiatives at the university are receiving systematic development and are being actively promoted among young people.

According to the tournament results:

First place was taken by first-year doctoral student of the Institute of Natural Sciences Yerkin Usalinov.

Second place was won by the Head of the Department of Higher Mathematics of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics Myrzagali Ospanov.

Third place was awarded to the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Transport and Energy Zura Sansyzbayeva.

The special nomination «For the Will to Win» was awarded to Senior Lecturer of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction Dulat Abdrasilov.

At the end of the tournament, the winners were awarded diplomas, trophies, and memorable prizes. Participants expressed gratitude to the organizers and emphasized the importance of regularly holding such professional competitions within the university environment.

Today, «ENU Darts Club» is becoming one of the university’s new sports initiatives, shaping the culture of darts among students and faculty members. According to the organizers, the «ENU Darts League» tournament will become a traditional event in the future and expand to the international level.
