
Creative Exhibition “World Culture and the History of Design”

A creative exhibition featuring practical works completed by second-year students of the Architectural Design and Graphic Design educational programs within the course “History of Material Culture and Design” was organized.
The purpose of the exhibition was to deepen students’ knowledge of historical and cultural heritage, introduce the stages of the formation and development of design art, and develop their professional creative abilities.
The exhibition showcased creative works dedicated to the history of design art and the stages of development of material culture. The audience was presented with the works of Myrzagaliyeva Aisha, Khalmurat Yerke, Maratkyzy Ainur, Bakytbek Aidana, Dinova Yerkenaz, Abdiashim Shugyla, Kenzhebekova Elvira, Kairatkyzy Elvira, Nugyman Nurshat, Meirambekova Balnur, and other students who successfully completed the practical assignments.
The exhibition was organized by Sandugash Zhumanovna Turikpenova, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Acting Associate Professor.
The students’ creative works reflected the material culture of the prehistoric era, the culture of the Ancient World, Ancient Rome, the countries of Southeast Asia, the material culture of nomads, the culture of medieval Western Europe, as well as the cultural characteristics of Ancient Rus and the peoples of Northern Europe.
In addition, the exhibition featured practical works on the formation of design art, the history of its development, different types of design, and the reasons for their emergence. The presented works were aimed at developing students’ professional thinking and creative exploration through the study of historical and cultural heritage.
The exhibition demonstrated the ability of future designers to combine theoretical knowledge with practice and to connect historical styles and cultural features with contemporary design.
