MEETING WITH DIRECTOR OF THE CENTER FOR THE STUDY OF ISLAMIC HISTORY, ART, AND CULTURE IRCICA PROFESSOR MAHMUD EROL KILIC

On May 18, 2026, the faculty of the Department of History of the L. N. Gumilev Eurasian National University met with the Director General of IRCICA Professor Mahmud Erol Kilic, the Center for the Study of Islamic History, Art, and Culture at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul, Turkey.

Along with Professor Mahmud Erol Kilic, the meeting was also attended by the scholar, orientalist Muminov Ashirbek Kurmanovich, who today studies the history of Islam at the IRCICA center. Professor Mahmud Erol Kilic provided extensive information about the scientific potential of the center he heads and the works of scholars, research areas, and the availability of scientific resources.

During the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty of History, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Bekmaganbetov Omirbai Zholdybekovich, spoke about the faculty and shared his opinion on the research areas of the students.

During the event, the Head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Seitkazina Kuralai Otaubayevna, expressed her gratitude to the guests and shared her opinion on the scientific significance of the scientists' works.
