At L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, an inter-university subject Olympiad on the theme “Economic Development, Financial Stability

At L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, an inter-university subject Olympiad on the theme “Economic Development, Financial Stability, and State Audit” was held, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the university. The event was organized by the Department of State Audit.

The Organizing Committee was headed by Spatayeva S.B., Head of the Department of State Audit, PhD. The commission also included Serikova M.A., PhD, Associate Professor, and Alibekova A.B., PhD, Acting Associate Professor.

The Olympiad brought together teams from the following higher education institutions: Karaganda Buketov University, A.K. Kussainov Eurasian Humanities Institute, Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University named after S. Seifullin (two teams), and L.N. Gumilyov ENU.

The event took place on April 24, 2026, and united students enrolled in the educational programs “State Audit,” “Finance,” “Accounting and Audit,” “Accounting, Audit and Tax Consulting,” and “Financial Analysis.” Participants demonstrated a high level of preparation, creativity, and professional skills throughout the competition stages, which included video presentations on the topic “My Profession is…”, team presentations (business cards with name, motto, emblem, goals and values), subject testing, and case study problem-solving.

According to the results, the awards were distributed as follows: 1st place — ENU team (State Audit program). Scientific supervisors: Alibekova B.A., Candidate of Economic Sciences, Professor; Zhumatayeva B.A., PhD, Associate Professor.

2nd place was awarded to two teams from two universities. The first team — Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University named after S. Seifullin. Scientific supervisors: Ibrayeva S.K., Senior Lecturer; Abdikerova G.Zh., Associate Professor; Kulekesheva A.K., Master, Senior Lecturer. The second team — A.K. Kussainov Eurasian Humanities Institute. Scientific supervisors: Mazhitova B.B., Master, Associate Professor; Kozhakhmetova A.G., Master, Associate Professor.

3rd place was also awarded to two teams from two universities. The first team — Kazakh Agrotechnical Research University named after S. Seifullin. Scientific supervisor: Kulekesheva A.K., Master, Senior Lecturer. The second team — Karaganda Buketov University. Scientific supervisor: Saduakasova M.B., Senior Lecturer.

The Olympiad served as an important platform for knowledge exchange, development of students’ professional competencies, and strengthening cooperation between universities. Participants gained valuable experience and improved their analytical thinking, teamwork skills, and expertise in the field of public audit and financial analysis.
