
Baubek Somzhurek Shared Expert Insights at an International Symposium on the Future of Education in Almaty

Baubek Somzhurek, Director of the Higher School of Education at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, participated in the International Symposium “A New Architecture of Education for a Sustainable Future: Global Challenges, Innovations, and New Opportunities” held in Almaty. The event was organized by Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University in cooperation with the UNESCO Regional Office in Almaty and Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University.
The symposium aimed to promote international academic dialogue between the countries of Central Asia and the People’s Republic of China, as well as to facilitate the exchange of best practices in teacher education and sustainable development.
As a keynote speaker, Mr. Somzhurek addressed the issue of fundamental transformations in teacher education in the context of global challenges. In particular, he focused on digital transformation in higher education, the integration of artificial intelligence into educational curricula, the profile of the modern educator, the personalization of learning through AI, and the future of pedagogy.
The symposium served as an important platform for discussing current issues in educational modernization, strengthening international partnerships, and identifying new solutions aimed at improving the quality of teacher training.
