
The Final Meeting of the Academic and Methodological Council Held at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University

The final meeting of the Academic and Methodological Council was held at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, chaired by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Ardak Beisenbay.
The meeting addressed a wide range of issues related to the organization and improvement of the educational process. In particular, participants discussed the role of student associations in supporting career guidance and developing soft skills, using the activities of the “Sapa” student club as an example.
The Council approved the programs for special and creative entrance examinations for the 2026 admission campaign, as well as the examination programs and test papers for bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in the field of education “Pedagogical Sciences” for the 2026–2027 academic year. In addition, the interview program for foreign applicants seeking admission to the university was approved.
A brief report on the implementation of the decisions of the Academic and Methodological Council for the 2025–2026 academic year was presented. Special attention was given to digitalization in education, including the use of a virtual studio in the learning process and its potential for developing massive open online courses.
The meeting also reviewed teaching and methodological materials developed by the faculty, which were recommended for consideration by the University Academic Council, and discussed the establishment of department branches at partner enterprises.
For each agenda item, substantive reports were presented, followed by active discussion, exchange of views, and consideration of proposals. As a result, relevant decisions and recommendations were adopted, with responsible executors and implementation deadlines defined.
In concluding the meeting, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Chair of the Council Ardak Beisenbay outlined key priorities for further work and emphasized the importance of continuous improvement of the university’s educational activities.
