
Faculty Members of the ENU Department of Chemistry Receive Awards from the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On June 2, 2026, at a meeting of the Department of Chemistry of the Institute of Natural Sciences of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, a ceremony was held to present departmental awards of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The awards were conferred upon faculty members by the Minister's Order No. 39 dated May 14, 2026, in honour of the Day of Workers of the Chemical Industry.
The badge of distinction «Best Worker of the Chemical Industry» was awarded to:
– Eldar Y. Kopishev – Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Chemistry;
– Togzhan T. Mashan – Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Professor;
– Gaini Zh. Seitenova – Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Professor, Researcher;
– Lyazat A. Kusepova – Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor;
– Gulstan K. Zhumabayeva – Senior Lecturer;
– Ruslan Z. Safarov – Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Lecturer-Researcher.
The Certificate of Honour of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan for a significant contribution to the development of the industry was awarded to:
– Rizagul M. Dyusova – PhD, Senior Lecturer;
– Ainagul K. Apendina – Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Senior Lecturer;
– Elvira K. Donbayeva – Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Senior Lecturer;
– Lyazat B. Tolymbekova – PhD, Senior Lecturer.
The conferral of departmental awards reflects the recognition of the professional contribution of the Department's faculty to the development of national chemical science and to the training of qualified specialists for the chemical industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The long-standing scientific and pedagogical activities of the awardees are associated with the implementation of research and educational projects that ensure the continuity of the ENU school of chemistry and the development of practice-oriented training programmes.
