
ENU and Tsinghua University intend to strengthen strategic partnership

A meeting with a delegation from Tsinghua University of the People's Republic of China was held at The L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The main purpose of the event was to further strengthen academic and scientific ties between the two universities, as well as to discuss new opportunities for cooperation in the international educational space.
During the meeting, ENU’s Vice Rector for Strategic Development and Internationalization Duman Aitmagambetov spoke about the university's international relations and its partnership potential.
"The Eurasian National University cooperates with more than 500 leading universities and scientific organizations of the world. The international partnership allows us to improve educational programs, expand the scope of scientific research and open up new opportunities for students and teachers. We consider the development of cooperation with Tsinghua University to be an important strategic step for both sides," he said.
In turn, Vice-Chancellor of the Tsinghua University Council Yang Bin highly appreciated the level of training of Kazakhstani students and emphasized the potential of ENU graduates.
"Today, more than 30 students from Kazakhstan study at Tsinghua University. We see that their academic achievements and professional training are at a high level. This indicates the quality of education provided by the Eurasian National University. Therefore, we are always glad to see graduates of the ENU bachelor's degree among the students of the master's and doctoral programs of our university," Yang Bin said.
During the meeting, the delegation members got acquainted with the educational and scientific infrastructure of the university, as well as exchanged experience in implementing international projects. In addition, the prospects for joint research in the field of digital technologies, artificial intelligence, regional studies, sustainable development and innovation were discussed.
It is worth noting that Tsinghua University is one of the world's leading research universities and is located in the Haidian district of Beijing. The University consistently holds high positions in international rankings and is widely known for its achievements in science, technology and innovation.
The University is a participant in the state programs for the development of higher education in China - "Project 211", "Project 985" and the "Double First-Class Construction" initiative.
Currently, Tsinghua University has 21 schools and 59 faculties. Specialists are trained in a wide range of fields, from natural sciences and engineering to humanities and social sciences. Such fields as engineering, information technology, medicine, law, economics, management, history, philosophy and art have received special development.
