
School of Pedagogical Excellence: Enhancing the Professional Competencies of Young Lecturers of the Department of Civil Engineering

During the 2025–2026 academic year, the Department of Civil Engineering organized a series of activities within the School of Pedagogical Excellence aimed at improving the professional competencies of young lecturers, enhancing their teaching skills, and developing their methodological expertise.
On January 23, 2026, a seminar entitled “Organization and Supervision of Diploma and Master's Theses” was held. The participants discussed current requirements for graduation projects, the organization of students’ research activities, and the specifics of supervising diploma and master's theses. The attendees received practical recommendations on guiding research work and preparing students for the successful defense of their final projects.
On June 2, 2026, a seminar entitled “Development of Educational Materials for Effective Teaching” was conducted. The seminar focused on modern approaches to preparing educational and methodological materials, developing syllabi and learning resources, and applying innovative educational technologies in the teaching process. Young lecturers received practical guidance on improving the effectiveness of teaching civil engineering disciplines.
The activities were supervised and coordinated by Nurlan B. Kudaibergenov, Professor of the Department of Civil Engineering and Doctor of Technical Sciences, who shared his extensive teaching experience and provided methodological support to young lecturers.
The conducted activities contributed to the development of lecturers’ professional competencies, the improvement of the educational process, and the enhancement of the quality of student training at the Department of Civil Engineering.
