ENU Achieved the Highest QS Stars Rating – 5 Stars

The L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University has made a historic breakthrough, confirming its status as one of the flagships of higher education not only in Kazakhstan but also on the international stage. Following the results of the prestigious QS Stars audit, the university was awarded the highest rating – "5 Stars" (5 QS Stars).

As a reminder, from 2022 to 2025, ENU consistently maintained a 4-star rating. The new peak of 5 stars is an official recognition that the university provides education and services according to the highest global standards. What makes this triumph especially valuable is that it was achieved under a updated, significantly more complex rating methodology that introduced strict evaluation criteria.

Based on the results of the QS Stars audit, ENU received the maximum score in several key areas.

In the "Teaching" category, experts noted the high level of educational process organization, effective interaction between faculty and students, academic performance indicators, and a well-developed counseling support system.

In the "Employability" category, the university demonstrated strong positions due to the high demand for its graduates in the labor market, effective career guidance mechanisms, and a positive reputation among employers.

The "Internationalization" indicator also received the maximum score. Experts highly praised the scale of academic mobility, the number of international students and faculty, as well as the level of international partnerships and participation in global research projects.

In the "Facilities" category, modern learning spaces, library resources, sports facilities, student dormitories, and medical services that ensure comfortable conditions for studying and development were highlighted.

The university also demonstrated high results in the field of "Good Governance." International experts noted the efficiency of the management system, the quality of internal processes, strategic planning, and mechanisms for ensuring the quality of education.

Another area that received the maximum rating was "Environmental Impact." The university actively implements initiatives in the field of sustainable development and supports scientific research and educational projects aimed at solving environmental and social challenges.

In addition, under the updated QS Stars methodology, the university received high marks in the areas of "Academic Development," "Subject Ranking," and "Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion." These results confirm ENU's significant potential for further growth and the strengthening of its international standing.
