Stages I and II of the Science Project Competition Held at Nazarbayev Intellectual School: Encouraging Young Chemists' Involvement in Scientific Research

In the period of October 16-17 and 30-31, 2023 on the basis of "Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools" in Astana were held I (online) and II (offline) stages of the Competition of scientific projects in general education subjects. Teachers of Department of Chemistry of L.N. Gumilyov ENU: candidate of chemical sciences, associate professor Kusepova L.A., candidate of chemical sciences, associate professor Seitenova G.J., PhD, acting associate professor Tosmaganbetova K.S., senior lecturer Omarova L.S. were invited experts to evaluate scientific projects of the section "Chemistry".

All works were divided into two categories: individual and team projects, each of which was evaluated by a set of criteria: creativity, scientific thinking, the degree of disclosure of the topic, the effectiveness of the research methods used, oratory skills and quality of demonstration material, the level of coordination of team members.

At the end of the competition, the jury members answered questions related to theoretical research, and recommendations were given for the applied realization of the projects.
