“Scientific Career Guidance and Selection of School Students: Modern Opportunities of Psychodiagnostics and Career Orientation”

A scientific and practical seminar entitled “Scientific Career Guidance and Selection of School Students: Modern Opportunities of Psychodiagnostics and Career Orientation” was held at the Department of Psychology of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.

The seminar was organized with the participation of the Association of Career Guidance Specialists of Kazakhstan and served as a platform for discussing modern evidence-based approaches to career guidance and the assessment of students’ educational and professional inclinations.

The seminar was attended by the Head of the Department of Psychology, A.S. Mambetalina, and the Head of the Psychodiagnostic Laboratory, Sh.A. Yerbolova, who introduced participants to the opportunities and practical applications of the NS-Psychotest комплекс within the system of scientific career assessment and selection.

During the meeting, the key areas of activity of the Psychodiagnostic Laboratory of the Department of Psychology were presented. Participants discussed contemporary approaches to psychodiagnostic support for school students and considered ways to improve the objectivity of career guidance through the use of psychometric instruments.

Special attention was paid to the practical application of diagnostic results for identifying individual characteristics of students, determining professional interests, and supporting informed educational and career choices.

Such events contribute to strengthening cooperation between the scientific community, educational institutions, and professional associations, as well as promoting the implementation of modern psychological technologies in the career guidance system of Kazakhstan.
