Educational Practice of Students of the Programme «6В05208 – Ecology and Environmental Management»

First-year students of the Department of Management and Engineering in Environmental Protection, enrolled in the educational programme «6В05208 – Ecology and Environmental Management», completed their educational practice at the Applied Ecology Laboratory of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and at Karkaraly State National Nature Park. The practice was carried out in two stages.

From 1 to 7 June 2026, the students worked at the Applied Ecology Laboratory of L.N. Gumilyov ENU. Through the laboratory work, they mastered modern methods of ecological and microbiological analysis and acquired skills in studying environmental objects and processing the data obtained.

From 8 to 14 June 2026, the practice continued on the territory of Karkaraly State National Nature Park in Karaganda Region. During the field research, the students examined natural ecosystems, carried out geobotanical descriptions and biodiversity observations, collected samples of natural objects, and assessed the ecological condition of the territories.

Particular attention was given to studying the park's natural landscapes and assessing the anthropogenic impact on the environment. The results obtained allowed the students to consolidate their theoretical knowledge and acquire practical skills in environmental monitoring.

Following the practice, the students successfully defended their reports, presenting the results of their research and demonstrating a high level of preparation. The practice contributed to the development of the professional competencies of future ecologists and the strengthening of their research skills.
