Kemelbekova Elmira Abdenovna successfully defended doctoral dissertation!

On June 24, 2026, the dissertation defense of Elmira Abdenovna Kemelbekova was held at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) under the educational program "8D02305 – Philology." The dissertation was entitled "Semantic Modification of Applied Geometry Terms." The research was conducted at the Department of Kazakh Linguistics of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University during 2020–2023. 

The aim of the dissertation research was to provide a theoretical and practical analysis of the semantic modification of applied geometry terms in the Kazakh language. 

The domestic scientific supervisor was Gulbarshin Olzhabayevna Syzdykova, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Acting Professor of the Department of Kazakh Linguistics at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The foreign scientific consultant was Gulnur Kharunovna Bukharova, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor at the Institute of History, Language and Literature, Ufa Federal Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Ufa, Russian Federation). 

Following the voting, the Dissertation Council decided to award Elmira Abdenovna Kemelbekova the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the field of training "8D023 – Languages and Literature" (educational programs "8D02305 – Philology," "6D020500 – Philology," "8D02314 – Literary Studies," and "6D021300 – Literary Studies").
