
ENU discussed the launch of microqualification programs together with the employer

An expert meeting was held at the Republican Academy for Technical Regulation, Standardization, Certification and Metrology on the development of microqualifications as a modern tool for training in-demand specialists. The Academy provides training according to international standards and programs in the field of technical regulation, standardization, certification, metrology and management systems.
The event was attended by the Head of the Department of Standardization, Certification and Metrology of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University Bakhytkul Baykhozhayeva, Head of the Republican Academy for Technical Regulation, Standardization, Certification and Metrology Aigul Daribayeva, as well as 3rd year students of the Standardization and Certification educational programs and "Metrology". During the interview, the current requirements of the labor market for the training of specialists, the role of microqualifications in the formation of practice-oriented competencies, as well as the prospects for cooperation between the university and employers were discussed. Special attention was paid to the importance of additional confirmation of professional competencies and the demand for specialists who possess modern international standards and tools for sustainable development.
Aigul Daribayeva noted that employers today are interested in specialists with not only fundamental knowledge, but also proven practical competencies that meet modern industry requirements. She stressed that the cooperation between the Academy and ENU will increase the competitiveness of graduates in the labor market. New microqualification programs of the department, implemented in the minor format, were also presented during the meeting.
Their goal is to provide students with the opportunity to acquire additional professional competencies in the field of technical regulation, standardization, metrology and sustainable development, as well as a document confirming the development of the relevant microqualification. Such expert meetings contribute to strengthening the university's cooperation with employers, improving educational programs and training specialists who meet the current needs of the modern economy.
