
Professional Development Course on Inclusive Higher Education Completed at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University

L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University has successfully completed the professional development program “Inclusive Higher Education: Current Technologies and Approaches to Supporting Students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)”.
Over the course of six weeks, 210 faculty members enhanced their professional competencies in organizing an inclusive educational process while mastering contemporary pedagogical, digital, and assistive technologies.
Throughout the course, participants explored current approaches to supporting students with special educational needs, strategies for creating accessible and student-centered learning environments, methods for adapting the educational process, as well as inclusive teaching and assessment practices.
Particular emphasis was placed on the practical application of digital, assistive, and adaptive technologies, including artificial intelligence tools, interactive educational platforms, and solutions designed to improve educational accessibility. Participants also examined contemporary approaches to psychological and pedagogical support, tutoring, and interdisciplinary collaboration in higher education.
The program was delivered by leading experts in inclusive education, psychological and pedagogical support, digital educational technologies, and sustainable development. The interdisciplinary teaching team combined evidence-based approaches, innovative educational technologies, and best practices in supporting students with special educational needs.
The practice-oriented format of the program enabled participants to analyze real educational situations, develop adapted learning materials, and design practical solutions to strengthen inclusive teaching within their own academic disciplines.
Upon completion of the course, all participants will receive professional development certificates.
The implementation of this program represents an important step in strengthening the inclusive culture of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, enhancing the quality of its educational environment, and ensuring equal opportunities for every student's academic and professional development.
