ENU is ready for the new academic year: 7.5 thousand places in dormitories are available to students

The L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University continues accepting applications for accommodation in dormitories for the 2026-2027 academic year. There is no shortage of places: this year, 7,508 places are available to students in the university's student dormitories and partner facilities.

Today, ENU has 8 of its own student houses, 3 new complexes built as part of a public-private partnership, and 6 private dormitories operating on the basis of memorandums of cooperation.

In 2024-2025, the university opened three new student complexes - at 33, A. Baitursynov Street, 10A, M. Zhumabayev Avenue and 13A, A.Pushkin Street. During their construction, special attention was paid to modern design, comfort and the creation of a barrier-free environment.

One of the largest facilities is the new student complex on M. Zhumabayev Avenue. It was opened last year with the participation of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The hostel is designed for 2,656 students and today is the largest student dormitory in Kazakhstan.

The complex has all the necessary conditions for a comfortable stay for students. There are catering areas, laundry rooms and storage rooms. A separate unit is equipped for students with special needs, taking into account the requirements of an accessible environment.

Special attention is paid to security: a Face ID system is installed at the entrance, and surveillance cameras are operating on the floors.

When allocating places, priority is given to students from socially vulnerable categories, participants in international and academic programs, as well as students of the Foundation Office.

The distribution of places in the new student house takes place online through the ENU digital platform. The system takes into account the social status and academic performance of students, which makes the process more transparent.

Check-in takes place until August 31. Students submit applications through the Platonus system.

First, places are provided to first-year students, then to 2-5-year students, undergraduates and doctoral students.

Zaur Kerimov from Baku shared his impressions. His son entered ENU’s Faculty of International Relations and is currently settling into a dormitory.

"We came from Azerbaijan. My son entered the Faculty of International Relations. We chose Eurasian National University because Kazakhstan is a fraternal country with which Azerbaijan enjoys good-neighborly and friendly relations.

I am sure that my son's education at ENU will be an important step in his professional development and will further strengthen cooperation and mutual understanding between our countries in the future."

For first-year students, settling into a dormitory is not only the beginning of an independent life, but also an introduction to a new student environment. Aizere, a 1st-year student at the ENU’s Faculty of International Relations, spoke about her first impressions:

"I just recently moved into a hostel and am gradually getting used to the new environment. My first impressions are very good. It is immediately clear that all the necessary conditions have been created for students here. Coworking areas are great for preparing for classes, and the location of the library next to the dormitory is a great advantage for us.

The kitchen has everything you need for everyday use. There are sleeping places in the rooms, and generally comfortable living conditions for students are created.

I am glad that I am starting the new academic year in such a comfortable environment. I am sure that life in the hostel will be filled with good impressions and interesting moments.”

In the future, the university plans to continue developing student infrastructure, building new dormitories and improving living conditions.
