Listeners of the ENU Silver University became volunteers in the "Games of the Future – 2026" in Astana

Listeners of the Silver University of the L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University Gulmira Zholbaskanova, Galymzhan Amanbayev, Irina Ivanova, Meruert Rakhmetova and Gulbaram Aliakbarova participated as senior volunteers in the Games of the Future – 2026, held in Astana.

They received special training and functional training, performed various volunteer tasks: accompanied participants and delegations, helped on competition grounds, provided organizational support. At the end of the "Games of the Future 2026", Silver University volunteers were awarded international certificates for their participation in a large-scale international project.

As Galymzhan Amanbayev, a listener at Silver University, noted, volunteering allowed him to "see the world through different eyes:

"We interacted with young people, became more active ourselves, felt in demand and realized that we could be useful to the younger generation."

For the participants of the "Games of the Future", this experience also became an opportunity to put into practice the knowledge they gained at the Silver University of ENU.

Digital skills and knowledge of foreign languages proved to be particularly in demand. Irina Ivanova and Gulmira Zholbaskanova shared their impressions on social networks Instagram and TikTok throughout their participation in the "Games of the Future", talking about events, volunteer work and their new experiences.

They emphasize that studying at the ENU Silver University of IT, where they took digital literacy courses, helped them to confidently use modern digital tools. With gratitude, the participants recall the classes of the young scientist Zhanat Kopeev, who helped the students master modern digital tools and keep up with the times.

The course "Artificial Intelligence and digital Literacy: tools of a new era" also aroused great interest. Lecturer Lazzat Kusepova spoke in an accessible and understandable way about the possibilities of artificial intelligence and the introduction of new technologies into modern life. Knowledge of foreign languages has become no less useful.

The skills acquired during the course "Linguistic course for excursions and travel", organized with the participation of the Faculty of Philology of the ENU, helped the volunteers to communicate more easily with foreign guests who came to Kazakhstan.

"We got the opportunity to feel like a part of a youth, technological and international environment. This motivates us to gain new knowledge and continue learning.
