Happy Knowledge Day!

Dear faculty members, students, master’s and doctoral students of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University!

We sincerely congratulate you on September 1 — Knowledge Day and the beginning of the new academic year! This day is a special occasion for inquisitive young people and dedicated educators who contribute to the education and development of the younger generation.

To mark the beginning of the new academic year, the Department of Psychology of the Higher School of Journalism and Social Sciences at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University organized a ceremonial meeting for first-year students.

The event was attended by Member of the Board and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs A.B. Beisenbay and N.K. Kuantayev, Director of the Higher School of Journalism and Social Sciences.

During the event, first-year students were introduced to the history of the Department of Psychology, its main areas of activity, educational programs, the organization of the academic process, and the department’s research activities. The students were also introduced to the department’s academic and teaching staff.

The students were informed about the university’s internal regulations, the principles of academic integrity, and the rights and responsibilities of students. They also received information about the information resources used in the educational process, the library, electronic learning platforms, and the social and psychological support opportunities available to students.

As part of the introductory meeting, A.S. Mambetalina, Candidate of Psychological Sciences and Professor, Head of the Department of Psychology, addressed the students with warm wishes and emphasized the importance of pursuing education at the university, developing professional competencies, and actively participating in research activities.

During the meeting, students had the opportunity to ask questions of interest to them and receive comprehensive information about the academic process and the department’s academic and research opportunities.

The introductory activities for first-year students represented an important step toward their active involvement in university life, successful adaptation to the new academic environment, and development as future professionals.
