Introductory Conference on Pedagogical Practice Held for Second-Year Doctoral Students of the 8D05213 – Geography Programme

On 2 September 2026, an introductory conference on pedagogical practice was held at the Department of Physical and Economic Geography, Institute of Natural Sciences, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, for second-year doctoral students of the 8D05213 – Geography educational programme.

The aim of the conference was to introduce doctoral students to the organisational and methodological aspects of the upcoming pedagogical practice and to explain the requirements for completing the practice and preparing the necessary reporting documentation.

During the meeting, the goals, objectives, main stages and content of the practice were discussed. The doctoral students were also introduced to the regulatory and educational-methodological documents governing the practice process. Particular attention was given to the approved schedule, documentation requirements and timely submission of work results.

As part of the conference, practice supervisors were approved, key areas of activity were identified and the calendar plan was agreed upon. The requirements for maintaining the practice diary and preparing the final report were also discussed in detail.

Following the conference, the doctoral students received informational and methodological materials, as well as instructions on the organisation and completion of pedagogical practice. The introductory conference served as an important step in preparing doctoral students for their upcoming academic, methodological and pedagogical work.
