Scientific business trip of A.R. Omarov to Karaganda within the framework of the AP26198207 project

From August 27 to 31, 2026, Abdulla Rakhmetovich Omarov, Lecturer at the Department of Construction, Faculty of Architecture and Construction, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and Project Leader of AP26198207 “Integrated security system on construction sites using drones for facial recognition, personal protective equipment inspection, and alcohol level monitoring.” undertook a scientific business trip to Karaganda, Kazakhstan.
As part of the visit, working meetings and scientific consultations were held with researchers and specialists from the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technologies of Karaganda Buketov University.
Particular attention was paid to the application of artificial intelligence, computer vision, and digital technologies to improve safety at construction sites. The participants discussed approaches to automated video data analysis, worker detection, monitoring the use of personal protective equipment, facial identification, and the integration of software and hardware components of the developing safety system.
The meetings also addressed the preparation of datasets for training neural network models, improving object detection accuracy, and reducing false-positive detections. The participants exchanged experience in digital data processing and the development of intelligent monitoring systems for construction-site safety.
During the visit, the concept, key objectives, and main scientific and technical solutions of the AP26198207 project were presented. Potential areas for further interdisciplinary cooperation were identified, including joint research, preparation of scientific publications, expert consultations, and testing and validation of project results.
The business trip resulted in agreements to further develop scientific cooperation between L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and Karaganda Buketov University.
The visit contributed to the further implementation of the AP26198207 project and strengthened scientific cooperation in the fields of construction, artificial intelligence, computer vision, and digital safety technologies.
