
«Green» or «Red» Flag? ENU Students Learned to Recognize Healthy Relationships

Under the leadership of Lyayla Mutalieva, Head of the Department of Tourism of the L.N. Gumilev Eurasian National University, Higher School of Economics and Tourism, an interactive training for students entitled “Healthy Relationships: Green Flag, Red Flag” was organized within the framework of the Family Day week on the theme of Family as a Source of Respect, Cooperation and Love.
The main goal of the training was: to teach young people to distinguish between destructive (“red flag”) and healthy (“green flag”) relationships, to form family values, mutual respect and emotional culture, to create conditions for students to have an open dialogue with the speakers and exchange views.
The training was opened by the Dean of the Higher School of Economics and Tourism, Asemgul Kapenova.
The event was attended by representatives of the state, public and academic spheres - Advisor to the Chairman of the Republican Mothers' Council, winner of the international literary prize "Alash" - Kamal Alpeisova, Deputy Chairman of the Republican Mothers' Council - Bayan Akhatai, Member of the Republican Mothers' Council - Gulden Moldakhmetova, Head of the University's Psychological Support Center Samal Togym, as well as experienced practitioner-psychologist Serikgul Sali.
More than a hundred students and undergraduates of the specialties "Tourism", "Restaurant and Hotel Business" participated in the training. During the training, questions and answers arose among the participants, and a lively discussion was held in the form of reflection.
It should be noted that the head of the Tourism Department Lyaylya Mutalieva and the acting professor of the department Dinara Yesimova are members of the Mothers' Council at the Friendship House in Astana.
