
The Silver University Completes the “Arabic for Beginners” Course

The Institute of Continuing Education of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University conducted the educational course “Arabic for Beginners” for the learners of the Silver University.
The course lecturer, Nurbol Abubakirov, introduced the learners to the fundamentals of the Arabic language and the specific features of Arabic script. The course covered an introduction to Arabic, the Arabic alphabet, rules of reading and pronunciation, as well as the ways Arabic letters are written at the beginning, middle, and end of a word.
The learners completed practical and developmental exercises aimed at reinforcing their knowledge and developing reading skills. The sessions also covered the rules for reading individual letters, articles, and word combinations.
Marfuza Suleimenova, a learner of the Silver University, shared her impressions of the course:
“The course lecturer, Nurbol Absattarovich, was able to present each topic in an individual and accessible way. The course began with learning the Arabic alphabet and concluded with reading Surahs from the Quran.
