ENU Hosts a Series of Seminars on the Effective Use of ChatGPT in Teaching

The Department of Online Learning of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, in cooperation with Bilim Upskill, organized a series of training seminars for the University’s academic staff.
The seminars were conducted by AI methodologists of the Bilim Upskill ChatGPT Edu project, Abdulkarim Abdul Rakhmanuly and Aigerim Kazhigaliyeva.
During the seminars, the speakers introduced participants to the key capabilities of ChatGPT and demonstrated modern approaches to the effective use of artificial intelligence tools in professional activities.
Particular attention was paid to the practical application of artificial intelligence in preparing teaching materials, developing assignments and tests, structuring information, creating presentations, improving texts, and optimizing other routine tasks performed by academic staff.
During the training, the participants received recommendations on how to formulate effective prompts, explored specific examples of using ChatGPT, and discussed the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence technologies in the educational process.
Currently, ChatGPT licenses are being provided to ENU academic staff on a phased basis. This will enable faculty members to use the platform’s capabilities in their professional activities, master modern artificial intelligence tools, and apply them to improve the quality of teaching and the organization of the educational process.
Such initiatives contribute to enhancing the digital competencies of ENU academic staff, developing their skills in working with artificial intelligence technologies, and effectively integrating these technologies into the University’s educational and research activities.
The ENU Department of Online Learning will continue to provide methodological support to academic staff and promote effective practices for the use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in education.
