Meeting with a Representative of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran

On September 9, 2026, a meeting was held at the Department of Oriental Studies of the Faculty of International Relations at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University with Rasul Ismailzadeh Duzal, the newly appointed Cultural Affairs Counsellor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to further develop cooperation in the fields of education and science. In particular, they considered opportunities to implement joint research and educational projects, expand academic cooperation, and organize the exchange of experience between faculty members and students.

The parties also exchanged views on the development of Iranian studies, support for the teaching of the Persian language, Iranian history and culture, as well as the organization of joint cultural and educational events.

The meeting was attended by Rasul Ismailzadeh Duzal, Cultural Affairs Counsellor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Kazakhstan; M.M. Kossybayev, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations; G.U. Birimkulova, Head of the Department of Oriental Studies; and faculty members of the department.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation and to implement joint scientific, educational, and cultural initiatives in the future.
