ENU Hosts Meeting with a Delegation Led by Ma Yongsheng, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering

In September 2026, a delegation led by Ma Yongsheng, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chairman of the International Cooperation Organization on Innovation in CCUS (ICTO), paid a friendly visit to L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The delegation included Li Yang, Secretary-General of ICTO; Fan Xiangnan, Deputy Chief Representative of Sinopec’s Kazakhstan office under its Russia and Central Asia Representative Office; and other distinguished guests.

As part of the visit, Ma Yongsheng met with Abzal Taltenov, Vice-Rector of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University for Research and Commercialization of Research Results. The meeting was also attended by M.M. Kossybayev, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, and G.U. Birimkulova, Head of the Department of Oriental Studies.

During the meeting, Mr. Ma Yongsheng noted that one of the main objectives of his visit to Kazakhstan was to organize an International CCUS Summit. As L.N.
