Adaptation to a New Environment and Effective Communication
On 11 September 2026, a curatorial session entitled “Adapting to a New Environment: Mutual Support and Effective Communication” was held for first-year students of the Kazakh-language programme. The session was organised by Sudyeva N.B., Senior Curator of the Department of Oriental Studies at the Faculty of International Relations, together with group supervisors Yelubai A. and Rakhman A.
Aizhan Zhakypkyzy Baimukhanova, a psychologist from the Psychological Support Centre, was invited to take part in the event.
The main purpose of the event was to provide psychological support to first-year students as they adapt to a new environment and to help them develop mutual understanding and effective communication skills.
During the meeting, the psychologist advised the students on adapting to a new environment, coping with stress, and building positive relationships with their groupmates. The students participated actively and received answers to their questions.
The curatorial session helped strengthen unity and mutual support among the students.
