ENU Staff Explore Quality Assurance Systems in Germany

Between September 14 – 19, staff members of The L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University are undergoing in-person professional development training in Düsseldorf, Germany, as part of the “International Quality Assurance Systems” program organized by ASIIN.
The program is aimed at improving quality assurance systems in higher education, fostering a culture of quality, and studying international experience in the accreditation of educational programs.
Participants discussed prospects for developing the quality assurance system in Kazakhstan and at ENU, and studied ASIIN accreditation criteria and their practical application.
Representatives of academic departments presented their educational programs and gained practical experience in using SWOT analysis tools to assess their further development.
As part of the training program, ENU staff visited Georg Agricola University of Applied Sciences (THGA) in Bochum, where they learned about the university’s quality assurance system, educational process, and approaches to assessing learning outcomes.
The delegation also explored THGA’s infrastructure and visited the Geotechnology Laboratory. The next stage of the program will be a visit to Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences (HSRW) in Kleve.
