
Meeting with Master’s and Doctoral Students Held at the Faculty of History

On September 21, 2026, the Faculty of History held a meeting with doctoral students admitted in the 2026–2027 academic year to the educational programs “8D02203 – History” and “8D02208 – Archaeology and Ethnology”, as well as with master’s students admitted to the educational programs “7M02203 – History” and “7M02208 – Archaeology and Ethnology.”
The meeting addressed current issues related to the organization of research activities, the educational process, and the academic development of master’s and doctoral students. The event was attended by Kashkhynbai Baizhuman Baltabayuly, Director of the Department of Academic Affairs; Korabayev Beibit Sybanbayuly, Head of the Educational Process Organization Division; and Bekmaganbetov Umirbai Zholdybekuly, Dean of the Faculty of History. First-year master’s and doctoral students were provided with detailed information on the procedures for organizing research activities at the university, determining the relevance of research topics, the qualification requirements for academic supervisors, and their compliance with the established requirements.

Particular attention was paid to the planning and preparation of dissertation research, preparation of academic publications, participation in research projects, presentation of research findings to the academic community, and key areas of academic development. The students had an opportunity to ask questions of interest and received recommendations and consultations on the effective organization of their research activities.
The main objective of the meeting was to facilitate the systematic organization of research activities among master’s and doctoral students, create favorable conditions for their successful adaptation to the academic environment, and provide the necessary guidance for conducting high-quality dissertation research.
