А curatorial hour entitled “Integrity and Academic Honesty” was held

On September 25, 2026, a curatorial hour entitled “Integrity and Academic Honesty” was held for Group В140-3102-26-02 (first-year students of the International Relations educational program). The group curator is G.Ye. Ibragimova, Acting Professor of the Department of International Relations. A.A. Gizzatov, a lecturer at the Department of International Relations, participated as a guest speaker.

The aim of the curatorial hour was to foster students’ responsible attitudes toward their academic and research activities, familiarize them with the principles of academic honesty, and explain the consequences of academic misconduct.

During his presentation, A. A. Gizzatov explained the concepts of integrity and academic honesty and introduced the students to the main types of academic misconduct. He also discussed the proper use of information sources and emphasized the importance of developing independent and responsible study skills. In addition, the speaker highlighted the need to foster zero tolerance for plagiarism, cheating, and the falsification of research results.

At the end of the presentation, the students asked questions of interest and received comprehensive answers from the guest speaker.
