ENU Welcomes 347 International Students for the Fall Semester of the 2026–2027 Academic Year

L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University hosted a meeting between the university leadership and international students who arrived at ENU for the autumn semester of the 2026–2027 academic year.

In the new academic year, ENU’s international community has been joined by 347 students from 16 countries. Of these, 252 students arrived under the incoming academic mobility program “Welcome to ENU,” while 95 students joined ENU through the Double Degree program.

This semester, ENU welcomes students from the United States, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, the Republic of Korea, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Vietnam, China, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.

International students will study a wide range of fields, including international relations, foreign languages, information technology, law, economics, architecture, journalism, psychology, management, tourism, international law, translation studies, and other academic programs.

During the meeting, students were provided with information on the organization of the educational process, accommodation rules, opportunities to participate in the university’s academic, cultural, and social life, as well as the activities of the Department of International Cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to migration and visa-related matters, including the preparation of required documents, obtaining a temporary residence permit, compliance with the authorized period of stay, migration registration, and other procedures related to the stay of foreign nationals in Kazakhstan.

The new intake is the result of the continued development of ENU’s international cooperation with universities abroad. ENU’s partners include Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3, Leiden University, Middlebury College, Université Catholique de Louvain, Paris Nanterre University, University of Granada, Minzu University of China, Gyeongsang National University, Shanghai International Studies University, Comenius University, and many other universities across Europe, Asia, and the CIS countries.

Academic mobility provides students with an opportunity to gain new educational experiences, discover the culture of Kazakhstan, broaden their professional and personal horizons, and become part of ENU’s multinational community.
