ENU took the 861st place in the UI GreenMetric 2026 world ranking
L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (ENU) has been ranked 861st among 2,016 universities from 110 countries in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2026, achieving a total score of 6,047.5 out of 10,000 points.
The ranking results were officially announced on September 24, 2026, at the UI GreenMetric 2026 Results & Awards Ceremony, held at Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) in Baku, Azerbaijan.
UI GreenMetric assesses university sustainability performance based on seven key criteria: Setting and Infrastructure, Energy and Climate Change, Waste, Water, Transportation, Education and Research, and Governance and Digitalization.
ENU’s result reflects the University’s systematic efforts to implement sustainability principles, improve campus environmental infrastructure, promote the efficient use of natural resources, enhance energy efficiency, and integrate the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into its educational, research, and management activities.
The University continues to implement environmental initiatives, develop its environmental management system in accordance with the international ISO 14001 standard, introduce resource-efficient technologies, and foster a culture of sustainability among students and staff.
ENU’s participation in the UI GreenMetric international ranking and its achieved result demonstrate the University’s engagement with the global sustainability agenda and its ongoing commitment to strengthening environmental and social responsibility.
