On the Adaptation Week for First-Year Students of the Department of Chinese Philology in the 2026–2027 Academic Year

At the beginning of the 2026–2027 academic year, an “Adaptation Week” was organized and conducted to support the adaptation of first-year students to the new educational and social environment of the higher education institution.
The main objective of the Adaptation Week was to familiarize new students with the university’s educational process, internal regulations, as well as the rights and responsibilities of students, and to provide support for their psychological and social adaptation to the new environment.
During the week, first-year students were provided with information about the structure of the university, the activities of the faculty and departments, academic buildings, the library, electronic educational resources, and services available to students. In addition, meetings with academic advisors, introductory activities, information and awareness-raising sessions, as well as meetings to address students’ questions were organized.
Students received guidance on the effective use of their academic schedules, compliance with the university’s academic requirements, establishing appropriate relationships with instructors and classmates, and effective time management.
During the Adaptation Week, favorable conditions were created to increase students’ interest in their new environment, facilitate interaction within their groups, and encourage their active participation in university life. First-year students actively participated in the organized activities and received the necessary information on issues of interest to them.
