Happy Day of Higher Education Workers of the Republic of Kazakhstan!

Dear colleagues, we congratulate you on your professional holiday!

This year has been a special one for the Institute of Natural Sciences of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. In April 2026 the Eurasian School of Science and Technology, a joint institute of the two universities, opened at Nanning Normal University in Nanning (PRC). It is the first joint educational institution in the history of Kazakhstani higher education to be officially accredited by the Ministry of Education of the PRC.

The School delivers ENU bachelor's programmes in Inorganic Chemistry, Chemistry of Organic Substances and Polymers, and Biology. Graduates will receive two diplomas, from ENU and from Nanning Normal University. Each programme admits up to 100 students a year. In September 2026 the first intake of 270 students began classes.

Work on the project has been under way since 2022. The School was made possible by Eldar Kopishev, Head of the Department of Chemistry. The curricula and programme content were developed by the teaching staff of the Department of Chemistry.

The next stage is joint research groups and laboratories in chemistry, biology, biotechnology and ecology. We keep working, growing and reaching new milestones!
