The training of social workers from the regions of Kazakhstan has been completed at ENU

From September 22 to September 30, 2026, social workers were trained at the Institute of Continuing Education of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University as part of the professional development and retraining program.
The next stream brought together 80 specialists from Kostanay, Ulytau, Atyrau and North Kazakhstan regions. Training has become an important platform for the exchange of professional experience, updating knowledge and mastering modern approaches in the field of social work. The training was conducted by senior teachers of the Department of Sociology Ayazhan Serikovna Kuatova and Zhuldyz Zhangeldyevna Sembina.
As part of the program, students studied an educational module that includes nine relevant topics reflecting current trends and practical tasks in the social sphere. Classes were conducted in Kazakh and Russian, which made it possible to create a comfortable educational environment for specialists from different regions of the country.
A special place in the program was given to practical training. During the classes, students analyzed real professional situations, discussed problematic issues faced by social workers in their daily activities, and also got acquainted with modern tools and methods of organizing social assistance.
As a result of the training, the students successfully completed the advanced training and professional retraining program, expanding their professional competencies and obtaining practical tools that they can use in working with the public.
Conducting such programs on the basis of the Institute of Continuing Education at ENU contributes to the development of the system of continuing professional education and strengthening the human resources potential of the social sphere. The knowledge gained and the exchange of practical experience create the basis for further improving the quality of social services and the effective work of specialists in the regions of Kazakhstan.
