The L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University hosted the qualifying stage of the II Republican Competition for research projects and research of students, organized by the Association of Banks of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The competition was organized on the occasion of the National Currency Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan and is aimed at supporting innovative ideas and scientific research aimed at developing the financial and banking sector, increasing the research potential of students and promoting the development of modern digital solutions in the financial sector.
Students of ENU’s Graduate School of Economics and Tourism presented 19 scientific projects for the qualifying stage. The participants' research covered such relevant areas as the use of artificial intelligence in the financial sector, ensuring cybersecurity, the development of financial technologies and the digitalization of the banking sector.
The projects were evaluated by a jury of experts, who drew attention to the relevance, scientific novelty and practical significance of the research presented.
Azat Makhmet, Acting Director of the Innovation Development Department, noted the importance of the competition in supporting scientific research and developing students' professional skills.
"Work on a scientific project is not limited to conducting research for a student. This is an opportunity to intelligently and clearly convey your idea to the audience, listen to the opinion of experts and improve research based on the feedback received. By participating in national-level scientific competitions, students have the opportunity to develop research skills, implement new ideas, and direct the results of their scientific research to solve practical problems. The university's support for such initiatives stimulates the scientific search of students and contributes to the development of their innovative potential," he said.
Following the results of the event, the authors of the projects who showed high results were awarded diplomas, the scientific works of the winners received permits to the second stage of the competition.
