
“LEV GUMILYOV — STAR OF THE CENTURY”: AN EDUCATIONAL EVENT DEDICATED TO THE SCHOLAR’S LEGACY WAS HELD

As part of the traditional project “The World of Gumilyov,” the Scientific Library of the University held an educational hour entitled “Lev Gumilyov — the Star of the Century,” dedicated to the life and creative legacy of the outstanding scholar, historian, ethnologist, and poet Lev Nikolaevich Gumilyov.
The event was held near the monument to L.N. Gumilyov on the university campus. The event was hosted by students of the Faculty of Journalism, Үшкемпір Гүлсезім and Орынбасар Елдос.
During the event, Faculty of Journalism student Маербек Дина introduced the participants to the life and creative work of Lev Gumilyov. She spoke about his academic activities, literary heritage, and significant contribution to the study of the history and culture of the Turkic peoples.
The literary part of the event was continued by Қуанышов Әсет, who recited one of Lev Gumilyov’s poems, highlighting his talent not only as a prominent scholar and researcher, but also as a poet.
The event was enriched by live guitar performances. The musical performances created a warm and creative atmosphere and became a memorable addition to the educational program.
Students from the Institute of Transport and Energy, the Institute of Architecture, the Institute of Natural Sciences, and the Institute of Physical and Technical Sciences attended the event as audience members. The meeting provided them with an opportunity to learn more about Lev Gumilyov’s life, academic achievements, and literary heritage.
A book exhibition dedicated to Lev Gumilyov was also organized as part of the event. Participants had an opportunity to explore his scholarly works and literary publications, including his research on the history, ethnology, and culture of the Turkic peoples.
The educational hour became an informative and inspiring event that brought together students from different university institutes and allowed them to discover new aspects of Lev Gumilyov’s life and work, while gaining a deeper appreciation of his scholarly and literary legacy.
