Open Practical Class Held in Fundamentals of Electronics

On 8 October 2026, the Institute of Physical and Technical Sciences at L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University hosted an open practical class on “Semiconductor Diodes” as part of the Fundamentals of Electronics course. The class was led by Aliya Amirkhanovna Baratova, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences and Associate Professor in the International Department of Nuclear Physics, New Materials and Technologies.
The class, held for fourth-year students enrolled in the Nuclear Physics degree programme, focused on applying theoretical knowledge of semiconductor devices to practical problem solving. The activities aimed to consolidate the material covered and develop students’ skills in performing calculations and analysing the results.
Aliya Amirkhanovna combines teaching with scientific research. She was twice awarded state scientific scholarships for talented young scientists, for the periods 2008–2010 and 2010–2012. She is also a recipient of the Bolashak International Scholarship, through which she completed pedagogical training in Switzerland in 2014. Her scholarly publications include a monograph and articles in journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.
