
ENU Hosts “Dialogue of Generations through Togizqumalaq”

On October 7, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University hosted the meeting *“Dialogue of Generations through Togizqumalaq.”* The event was organized by the Institute of Continuing Education and the Department of Physical Education and Sports as part of the “Dialogue of Generations” project.
As part of the meeting, *Aidyn Zhakiyev, an ENU student and participant in Togizqumalaq at the VI World Nomad Games*, conducted a special master class for the participants. He introduced them to the features of the traditional intellectual game and game-playing techniques, and also played several matches with the participants.
At the VI World Nomad Games, Aidyn Zhakiyev won a *gold medal in the team competition and a silver medal in the individual competition* in Togizqumalaq. For his outstanding sporting achievements, he was awarded the state medal of the Republic of Kazakhstan, *“Eren Enbegi Ushin.”*
The event was attended by Aidyn Zhakiyev’s coach, *K.K. Kulanova, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Physical Education and Sports and Honored Sports Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as **Aigerim Kanatovna Ualiyeva*, Lecturer at the Department. K.K. Kulanova was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation as Aidyn Zhakiyev’s coach.
The meeting concluded with a Togizqumalaq tournament bringing together representatives of the older and younger generations. The traditional game provided an opportunity to strengthen intergenerational continuity and promote the exchange of experience.
