Teaching Practice: Open Class by Doctoral Student

As part of her pedagogical practice at the Higher School of Journalism and Social Sciences, Aigul Aitmukhanova, a doctoral student in the Public Relations program, delivered an open lecture.
Scientific Advisor: Professor, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Tahan Serik Sheshenbaiuly of the Department of Media Communication and Public Relations.
The lecture, titled "Transformation of PR Research Paradigms Under the Influence of Media Environment Digitalization," addressed current issues regarding how the internet, social media, and algorithms have reshaped traditional PR. During the session, Aigul Aitmukhanova outlined the transformation of paradigms and explained how modern PR specialists handle information and narrative meanings.
While the first half of the session followed a standard lecture format, the second half was interactive. Together with the students, key questions were examined—specifically, why traditional methods of studying and measuring PR are no longer effective and what should replace them.
Attendees expanded their scope of applied and academic knowledge in media communication and public relations
