How does Kazakhstan’s railway industry work? Who coordinates wagon movements, and which specialists keep the sector running every day?

First-year students from the Transportation Organization, Traffic Management and Transport Operations and Logistics programmes explored these questions at a guest lecture titled “Discovering Kazakhstan’s Railway Industry.” The lecture took place on 5 October 2026 as part of the course Introduction to the Railway Transport Profession.
The guest speaker was Roza Baisbaykyzy Zhamashova, a wagon dispatcher at RCUP-3 of the Northern Region of «Қазақстан темір жолы» National Company JSC. She spoke about her profession and the railway industry, and shared her professional experience with the students.
The lecture was delivered by Albina Salauatovna Yermukhanova, a department lecturer.
At the end of the meeting, Zura Kelesbekovna Sansyzbayeva, PhD, Head of the Department, presented Roza Baisbaykyzy with a letter of appreciation on behalf of the Dean of the Faculty, recognizing her contribution to students’ professional development.
Thank you, Roza Baisbaykyzy, for an engaging lecture and for sharing your insight into Kazakhstan’s railway industry! ✨
