Psychological Team-Building Event for ENU Staff Held in Zerenda

The Space of Trust and Support psychological team-building event was held at the Tumar Educational and Wellness Centre in the Zerendi District to mark World Mental Health Day. The event was jointly organised by the Department of Student and Staff Housing and the Psychological Support Centre.
Participants included employees of the Department of Student and Staff Housing, members of the Student Council, and representatives of the Risk Management Service and the Anti-Corruption Compliance Service.
The programme began with a psychological team-building session held in a forest setting. Outdoor activities and team tasks were designed to strengthen mutual trust, encourage participants to listen to one another, develop effective communication and make decisions together.
In the evening, an art therapy workshop was conducted by Akmaral Saktaganova. Through creative activities, participants were able to focus on their emotional well-being, express their feelings through art and reduce everyday stress.
The second day began with the Healthy Back Movement Without Pain morning fitness session conducted by Tolganay Togym. The exercises aimed to increase physical activity, strengthen the back muscles and help participants start the day feeling energised.
The programme also included a training seminar on providing psychological first aid to students. Participants learned how to recognise when a student may need psychological support, communicate appropriately, listen attentively and refer the student to the necessary professional assistance.
As part of the Reading Nation project, participants discussed The Well, a novella by Abish Kekilbayev. The discussion focused on human destiny, work, craftsmanship, inner conflict and moral values. A book donation initiative was also organised for the reading corner.
The programme continued with the nationwide Taza Qazaqstan environmental campaign. Participants contributed to keeping the surrounding area clean and highlighted the importance of caring for nature.
At the end of the event, participants received certificates, while specialists and guests who contributed to the organisation and delivery of the programme were presented with letters of appreciation.
The two-day event strengthened cooperation among the participants, encouraged the exchange of useful experience and promoted greater attention to psychological and physical well-being.
