STANDARDS: A SHARED STEP INTO THE FUTURE

On October 15, L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University hosted the scientific and practical forum “Me and Standards: My Contribution to the Future of the Country,” organized by the Department of Standardization, Certification and Metrology of the Faculty of Transport and Energy to mark World Standards Day.
The forum opened with welcoming remarks from Nurbek Pazharbekovich Saparходжаев, Vice-Rector for Research and Commercialization at ENU. Umirzhan Sheraliyevich Kokaev, Dean of the Faculty of Transport and Energy, also welcomed the participants.
Representatives of technical regulation, standardization, metrology and accreditation shared their professional experience. They highlighted the importance of preparing specialists who can respond to the current needs of science and industry.
Student research projects were a key part of the programme. Forty-five presentations were delivered across three areas: “Smart Standards: The Digital Foundation of Industrial Transformation,” “Digital Metrology: Precision in the Era of Industry 4.0,” and “Sustainable Development: From Risks to Opportunities.” Five outstanding projects were selected for the final round.
Participants also tested their knowledge in the “World of Standards” quiz. The expert panel evaluated the student presentations and selected the winners.
The forum provided an opportunity for students, faculty and industry representatives to discuss how standards contribute to product quality, safety, digital development and the country’s sustainable future.
We thank our guests, experts, faculty members and students for their participation and support!
