А musical and poetry evening «Atameken»

On October 19, 2026, the Department of Practical Kazakh Language organized a musical and poetry evening entitled «Atameken» in celebration of the upcoming Republic Day of Kazakhstan, which is observed on October 25.

The event was hosted by Serikbay Fariza and Syrlybay Abdiuali, who opened the evening by highlighting Kazakhstan’s achievements throughout the years of independence. The programme featured patriotic songs and poetry dedicated to the homeland and native land, including works by Kazakh poets Kadyr Myrza Ali, Mukagali Makatayev, and Zhuban Moldagaliyev.

As part of the event, students participated in a quick quiz entitled «How Well Do You Know Kazakhstan?» and a competition focused on proverbs and sayings about the country, native land, unity, and heroism. In addition, students watched a video titled «The Modern Face of Independent Kazakhstan», prepared by student Adilet Rakhmetolla.

The evening of patriotic songs and poetry contributed to fostering patriotism among young people, strengthening their pride in their country, native land, and history. It also reminded everyone that loving and protecting one’s homeland is a sacred duty of every citizen.
