Korean Student Club “Horangi” Organizes a Go Workshop

On October 19–20, 2026, the Korean student club “Horani,” affiliated with the Department of Oriental Studies, held a workshop and a series of practical games on Go, an ancient East Asian strategy board game known as Baduk in Korea and Weiqi in China. The event was open to all interested students.
Go helps develop logical and strategic thinking, concentration, and decision-making skills.
Faculty members also actively participated, learned the rules, and joined the games. The event provided an opportunity to explore East Asian cultural heritage and strengthen interaction between students and faculty. It is hoped that similar events will become a regular part of the club’s activities.
